This Grandjean Walnut Oil by Bocerno is an endemic variety of Perigord walnut. For having smaller calibers, the farmers tend to use other -more profitable- varieties. Very distinctive for being more intense and powerful than other varieties, this oil is a wonder thanks to its bitterness and woody aromas.
Behind Bocerno hides a family project driven by a real passion for organic farming and French local products. The plantation of walnut groves, the construction of an oil mill and the creation of a range of organic and monovarietal nut oils are part of a desire to offer a product full of history, to modernize and make it by following precise values while respecting its heritage. To produce oils of grand finesse, which main characteristic is the freshness rather than the traditional toasted side, Charlotte has opted to produce only ‘monovarietal’ oils by cold pressing the walnuts to offer the consumer’s taste buds the feeling of eating a walnut without biting a kernel. Thanks to this process, each variety expresses its own aromatic subtleties.
